The Final Feast Countdown 🎄

Christmas Eve is next week. When I spent the Summer in Finland I saved one story for this very moment.

In Turku, on December 24th, people gather to listen to the Declaration of Christmas Peace. It should go like this:

«Tomorrow, God willing, is the graceful celebration of the birth of our Lord and Saviour; and thus is declared a peaceful Christmas time to all, by advising devotion and to behave otherwise quietly and peacefully, because he who breaks this peace and violates the peace of Christmas by any illegal or improper behavior shall under aggravating circumstances be guilty and punished according to what the law and statutes prescribe for each and every offense separately».

Devotion. Behave.

You sit at the table with family members you haven't lived with for a year, and your life suddenly feels like an episode of The Bear. This one.

Hold fast, guys.

A wise friend once said: Christmas is a chance to see if we've learned anything from our year of therapy.

Quietly and peacefully, then.
